Indoor vs Outdoor Seasons
Starting seeds indoors a few weeks before the season lets you get a jump on slow crops and protects tender seedlings from cold and pests. Harden plants off - a week of gradually increasing time outdoors - before transplanting so the move does not shock them. Indoors under a grow light, herbs and greens can be grown year round regardless of the outdoor season.
